Girl Power!

Thank you to everyone that joined in on our Easter sentiment challenge.

The winner of the prize from Prairie Fairy is...

Katie Tate!

Congrats! Please email me so that I can get your prize to you and don't forget to grab your badge from the link on the title bar.

Top 3 (in no particular order!)

Wendy

Nataliya

Donna

Congratulations all - please don't forget your badges!

For this challenge we are so excited to have The Paper Shelter
as our sponsor. They are giving the winner a $20 gift certificate. Thanks so much!

Here is a little bit about them... PaperShelter produce high quality digital images. Here they explain how the process begins... It all starts in the traditional manner: With a pencil and a paper.
We always have a list of ideas for our drawings. Depending on our desires, depending of the season and taste of our customers, a new image is drawn.
Not all drawings always go to the second instance. Sometimes we left them archived until a better time. So, counting the drawings that were already traced and those that are pending, today, we have many folders full of images and projects :o) A truly "Paper Shelter"!
If you have the time - pop over to HERE to find out how the process continues - its fascinating!  Quite an education for anyone who has spent time using digi images but never realised all the hard work and love that goes into them!

OK, now onto the challenge. We want to see any card or project which has a sentiment for a girl.

Here are the beautiful creations from Team A. Stop by next Thursday for more inspiration from Team B

Ooooo and while I remember...if you look at our challenge rules (such as they are!), it says that you need to claim your prize by the time we post the next challenge.  Unfortunately we have a prize that wasn't claimed first time round, then the second person we picked didn't claim it either!  I know - shocking!

SO, rather than picking another person, we thought we would offer it up.  BUT, you don't just get it for nothing!  We will pick from comments on this post - and we would like you to tell us one thing that you think would improve our challenges!  That could be suggesting a theme, changing the look of the blog, accepting guest DTs, putting up tutorials - you name it!  As I said, we will pick from one of those suggestions to receive the unclaimed prize.  Please note, although we LOVE getting your comments thanking us for picking you, or leaving us some love etc etc, (and please feel free to do that too!!!) - the prize will be picked from people leaving suggestions only!

This challenge will run until Tuesday, March 26

Noticed that the challenge indicates the following:
"OK, now onto the challenge. We want to see any card or project which has a sentiment for a girl."
The wording 'sentiment for a girl' is confusing because I think you meant to indicate the card needs to be for a girl and not the sentiment because "Happy Birthday" is a sentiment for either or.
To improve your challenges I would like to see some tutorials from the DT on how they wonderfully put together the layers of their cards. Thanks for giveaway chance.

Entered an Easter card in girl colors, my fav shades of purple. Please let me know if this is acceptable since I'm confused by the wording I mention in previous comment about the "sentiment for a girl."

Thanks for the response to my question that card needs to be for a girl and of course have a sentiment and that my card I entered is acceptable. The bunny is a die cut image from a Cricut cartridge, Folk Art Festival.

My suggestion was going to be tutorials but I see that Melissa beat me to that one - so I have another suggestion. I would like to see one of the challenges offer two sentiments for the same challenge - but we pick one for our creation. And/or - we make two cards using one of the sentiments on one card and the other sentiment on the other card. Thanks for the opportunity to win a prize. Enjoy your week.

My suggestion is to keep "Anything Goes" challenge once a month as this is everyone's favourite :) or to increase the number of top 3 to top 5 :D

Hiya,
I love this challenge blog so it was very hard to think of any improvements.....but i did finally come up with one lol .... I think that it would be easier to keep track of the challenges if they were numbered.
Thanks for the chance to play along,

You have a fun blog - I like the connection with the sentiments! I would love to see maybe one of your Design team each go around create a mini tutorial or detail one aspect of her design based on her inspiration card. By rotating the tutorial thru your DT list it would not put a huge burden on any one DT member.

My favorite challenges are sketches! When there is a holiday type theme, it is nice to have the deadline at least a week before the holiday - so there is time to make the card and actually use it.
Thanks for your challenges and inspiration.

I'm always on the lookout for new sketches....and tutorials!....new techniques would be great to see, too....otherwise, keep everything as is....perfect, lol. x

Thanks for the opportunity...and thanks for asking our input! May I suggest a limit of 3 entries and perhaps a sketch to follow since they always spark my creativity.

Adorable images and fabulous job with the challenge, DT! Your coloring is wonderful! I like the way the blog is set up and I'm usually open to any kind of challenger. But I find that when I want to leave a comment, I have to scroll down past everyone else's comments to get to the bottom. Perhaps having the comment box open in a separate page? Just my thoughts :)

Fabulous DT projects, thank you for the inspiration and great challenge.
My suggestion is offer the Top 3 the opportunity to Guest Design if they wish, it helps to keep the challenge fresh with different inspiration each time.
